Looking to swap a later model Subaru 5MT or 6MT Manual Transmission into your early model Impreza, Forester, Liberty or Outback?

On later model CANBUS cars Subaru removed the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) from the transmission and instead used the ABS sensors for speedometer function.

This creates a problem when trying to swap newer transmissions such as the strong TY856 6 Speed transmissions (commonly found in the Gen 4 Liberty and 2008+ STi) into older Non CANBUS vehicles (GC,GF,GD,GG Impreza, SF,SG Forester, BE/BH Liberty/Outback).

This plug & play module provides an easy solution for this, reading the front ABS sensor to determine the vehicle speed and then display on the cluster speedo.

The module can be calibrated to adjust the speedometer to accommodate for non original tyre sizes (larger and smaller than factory)

Note: This is to suit factory manual transmission cars and does not work plug and play for automatic vehicles. Auto vehicles must be converted to manual (3 wire VSS) wiring before it can be used.
